Hi Crafters!
How are you today? EEEK! I'm so excited I can finally announce that I was invited to present at OnStage Melbourne today, using one of the new Suites from the upcoming Occasions Catalog! And this year, there isn't any spoiler policies, so we are allowed to share the products right away. We just aren't allowed to show the inside of the catalog just yet, except in person.
This cool suite has the stamp set, dies, Designer Series Paper (DSP) 6"x6" stack, cardstock pack, black & silver ribbon & metal embellishments. The cardstock is Basic Gray, Tranquil Tide & Crushed Curry. The embellishments include two designs - a key & a spanner & both have heaps of finer details. Some of the gears in the dies have embossed details on them as well.
Come back tomorrow to see the other samples I made for the Display Board & be sure to check out my Facebook Page to see heaps of pics of all the fun we have & lots of sneak peeks of samples!
So, here's my presentation cards. I was asked to make three samples for the Avid, Casual & Beginner crafters, which I've stepped up using the gears as my theme.
I've used the main die with the embossing mats for my Avid sample, a bit of heat embossing on the sentiment & fussy cut the car from the DSP. The cute metal embellishments stick easily with Glue Dots or they have a ribbon hole, so they are super easy to attach to your projects. I have also distressed the cardstock around the edges & used the oil spill stamp all over.
My Casual sample includes fussy cut car & gears from the DSP, stamped sentiment & more embellishments.
My Beginner sample includes stamps, ink & paper with a bit of ribbon for quick & easy results that still have some wow factor.
And my sample 'made for love' - this is inspired by Elanor from the movie Gone in 60 Seconds, one of my hubby's favourites. I've used the Jumpstart my Heart sentiment & put the 'key to my heart' on there with it. I have silver heat embossed the pizza box & then added copper heat emboss & left the heat tool on it until it was bubbling, creating the rust effect. How cool is it!
I've also die cut the Tranquil Tide DSP with the gears die & I've stamped the car on Silver Foil with Stayzon ink & then used the Black & Bermuda Bay Blends to add some detail to the car to make it look a little more like Elanor.
And I filled it with 3 mini cards with matching envelopes. They have silver foil & silver heat emboss details. How cute are the little gears & all the embossed details!
I've fussy cut the engine from the DSP & swapped the middle of the die cut out for the Basic Black one.
I've added the Tailored Tag Punch behind this sentiment.
The taco's are have been punched with the 1" Circle Punch & I've swapped out the middle of the die cut for the Tranquil Tide one.
Finally, this is the Make & Take everyone who attended OnStage got to make.

Hi Jessie!! Great projects!! Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteI am not clear how you achieved he rust effect on the silver foil. Do you just rub Versamark on it, sprinkles the embossing powder randomly and set with the heat gun?
