On Friday 20 April, I held a class with the Beautiful Day stamp set & Versamark ink. We made four cards each in the class, each using a different technique with Versamark & then I also made a bunch of samples showing all the different colouring techniques with the different products we have available from Stampin' Up!
We are so lucky to have such beautiful & versatile products! I've used all the different colouring tools as well as the different cardstocks. So get ready for a bunch of butterfly cards! I may have been a bit biased towards using the butterfly for my samples haha!
Today I'm showing you the cards I made playing with Brusho. Yesterday I showed a Rose card with the Brusho, that I had mixed a little with the Aqua Painter. Today I'm showing you some other looks.
This first card was made by placing five little puddles of a few drops of water each on my largest clear block & then I added a tap or two of the Brusho Color Crystals to each puddle, so I had the five colours to watercolour with. I really love seeing the colours mixed. They're quite vibrant, even though I didn't add many Crystals to each. I really love the apple green & the soft mandarin orange. This card is Silver heat embossed on Shimmery White Cardstock.
This second card is using Watercolor Paper & I have sprinkled the Yellow Brusho Color Cystals & then spritzed with water. I've dried with the Heat Tool & then Silver heat embossed the butterfly over the top. I had a little Prussian Blue on my fingers & desk, which have added a lovely but accidental mix of colours to the card.
Lastly, this card is on Glossy White cardstock. I have Silver heat embossed the butterfly first & then sprinkled with Prussian Blue Brusho Color Crystals & then spritzed with Isocol (rubbing alcohol) & then once dry, I rubbed over to remove some of the Brusho from on top of the Silver heat embossing. I really like this dirty, grungy look. As this paper doesn't absorb the crystals, it will rub off on your fingers if you touch it.
I've got just one more set of butterfly cards to show you (using the watercolor pencils), so check back in on Wednesday for those xx
