Beautiful Day - Brusho Watercolour Rose

Hi Crafters!

On Friday 20 April, I held a class with the Beautiful Day stamp set & Versamark ink. We made four cards each in the class, each using a different technique with Versamark & then I also made a bunch of samples showing all the different colouring techniques with the different products we have available from Stampin' Up!

We are so lucky to have such beautiful & versatile products! I've used all the different colouring tools as well as the different cardstocks. So get ready for a bunch of butterfly cards! I may have been a bit biased towards using the butterfly for my samples haha! I have used the Rose for this one though & the gorgeous Brusho Color Crystals, which give you a different look every time!

I have used Watercolor Cardstock for this card, sprinkling Gambage (organge), Red & Prussian Blue over this card to create a rainbow, but I got a bit of the blue in the red, so it didn't quite turn out what I was going for, but how stunning is it anyway? I just love playing with Brusho, but I do recommend gloves haha!

I have used my Aqua Painter to move the colours around & blend them a little, then I dried it with the Heat Tool. You can also leave it to dry naturally, but I don't have the patience for that! Once I was convinced it was dry, I rubbed over the whole surface with the Embossing Buddy... this is really important as the watercolor cardstock & brusho powder already have so much texture, you want to make sure the embossing powder only sticks where you want it. I've stamped with Versamark both the sentiment & the rose, then I've poured over the Gold Embossing Powder, poured off the excess & set with the Heat Tool.

I've stamped the inside just partially with the rose, as it's so big, in Real Red. I've also added a couple of 'dew drops' clear epoxy shapes to the front.

  1. I love the big floral images Jessie, but nobody has been able to convince me about Brushos yet!
