On Friday 20 April, I held a class with the Beautiful Day stamp set & Versamark ink. We made four cards each in the class, each using a different technique with Versamark & then I also made a bunch of samples showing all the different colouring techniques with the different products we have available from Stampin' Up!
We are so lucky to have such beautiful & versatile products! I've used all the different colouring tools as well as the different cardstocks. So get ready for a bunch of butterfly cards! I may have been a bit biased towards using the butterfly for my samples haha! I have used the rose image for the following card, though.
Today I'm showing you one of the cards we made using the Any Colour Embossing technique. First you ink up with Versamark & then don't stamp yet. Ink up on top of the Versamark with your choice of ink colour (I've used Rich Razzelberry) & then stamp your image. Be careful to just go straight up & down with your stamping, as the mix of Versamark & ink will make it easier for your stamp to slide & smudge. Next you cover the image with Clear Heat Emboss Powder, pour off the excess & use your Heat Tool to set it.
You can also just ink up with your choice of colour ink & then go straight over that with Clear Heat Embossing Powder, but the end result will not be as smooth as when you use the Versamark first. But it's still a really pretty look & add a lot of texture to the card.
I have tied Peekaboo Peach Crinkle Ribbon around the card & then secured the fussy cut rose image with Dimensionals. I have coloured the rose with my Stampin' Write Markers in Powder Pink, Pear Pizazz & Daffodil Delight, adding more layers for shadow & depth. I have left the card sentiment free as it's good to have a card like this that you can use for a special message or as a sympathy card etc where words are not needed on the front.
I have entered this card into the Global Design Project 'Show me the Sunshine' theme for this week #GDP135 as sunshine to me means spending time outside in the garden, enjoying all the beautiful flowers.

Thank you for sharing this project with us crafters Jessie. I absolutely love large floral images because of how they look on a card front but also because of the different materials that can be used to colour them. :O)
