Stampin' Dreams Blog Hop - Rose Wonder, Beautiful Day, Petal Passion

Hi Crafters!

Tonight I'm playing along with the Stampin' Dreams Blog Hop crew & this month's theme is to make something using your favourite Designer Series Paper. Now just about every pack of DSP in the Occasions catalog is absolutely stunning to me, so it was really hard to pick a favourite, but I ended up using the gorgeous black & white Petal Passion DSP, which I've coloured in with my Blends (*Blends are currently unavailable for order until end of May).

I've made two slightly different birthday cards using the Rose Wonder (sentiment) & Beautiful Day (butterfly) stamp sets & hightlights with Silver heat embossing & Clear Faceted Gems. The Rose Wonder stamp set & Petal Passion DSP are retiring, so if you love them, grab them now! The Rose Wonder stamp set also has matching dies called Rose Garden & there is one to fit the border, but I have fussy cut mine.

Both cards are mounted on Marina Mist cardstock & this colour is also retiring. The top card has Fresh Fig Finely Woven Ribbon & the bottom card has Silver Baker's Twine. I've offset the sentiment with Smoky Slate to give the shadow effect.
