Crazy Crafters Blog Hop with Wendy Lee - Perennial Birthday

Hi Crafters!

Today I'm joining in with the Crazy Crafters' Blog Hop with special guest Wendy Lee! How exciting! I love Wendy's style & it was hard narrowing it down to one card to CASE (copy & selectively edit), which is what we're all doing today. Be sure to go the full way around the hop for lots of Wendy's card & all our cards based on them. Here's the card I ended up picking to CASE:

I absolutely love Wendy's card, the colours, the layers & lots of white space. I was totally going to CASE this pretty close, maybe add some copper in there haha! But you know how life gets in the way & then I needed some masculine cards. I already had the Perennial Birthday stamp set sitting on my desk, waiting to CASE this gorgeous card above & I was looking at it & I realised some of the birthday sentiments would work great for masculine cards, so here is what I made with the Perennial Birthday stamp set & the True Gentleman Designer Series Paper:

I have used a Whisper White base with a piece of DSP, some of the Tranquil Tide washi tape from the Soft Sayings Card Kit, Burlap Ribbon & the Night of Navy cardstock has been cut out with the Starburst Punch. I was going to White Heat Emboss the sentiment, but I thought it would clash with the Very Vanilla in the cardstock, so I used White Craft ink for it instead. and then some of the dots stamp in Tranquil Tide in three corners around the sentiment.
