Creating Kindness Blog Hop; Color Inspiration - Birthday Delivery Poodles

Hi Crafters!

Today I'm hopping with the Creating Kindness Design Team with Special Guest Designer Kelly Kent & this month we are picking inspiration from things around us. From this we are using 3 colours plus neutrals & I have chosen to show you a card I made for a team mate's birthday recently. This card was also part of my display board from my Stampin' Bingo Day.

I got my inspiration from the Golden Story Books that the Birthday Memories Suite reminds me of & the stories I got read as a child. I have chosen to make this sweet Poodle card using Very Vanilla, Real Read & Blushing Bride. I have also added highlights of Gold.

I have used a Real Red base with two layers of Very Vanilla, the top one pressed with the Ruffled Embossing Folder. I have stamped a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock with two of the greetings from the stamp set, which I have also used on the inside of the card. I have layered them together so I could get a cascading effect with them. I have stamped them in Blushing Bride & then a circle with the Stitched Shapes Dies & I have used the Layering Circles scalloped edge die to cut the Gold Glimmer Paper piece behind.

I have also added some of the Metallic Edge Ribbon in Gold & the Poodle on top. The Poodle has been cut with the matching die from the Birthday Friends Dies. I have attached the Poodle with a mix of standard size Dimensionals & Mini Dimensionals. The mini ones fit perfectly behind the poofs on the Poodles ankles & tail.

I have stamped the greetings on the inside in Blushing Bride & fussy cut a little Poodle to match.
