Yesterday I did this beautiful Swan Lake card for the current GDP challenge, inspired by the beautiful, simple watercolour ones done by GDP Designers Louise Sharp & Janneke de Jong. So today, I thought I would case (copy & selectively edit) Janneke's one & this is what I've come up with. I hope you like them!
I've used the Pun Intended Hostess Stamp Set, which is only available until the end of May & then it will likely retire, so get in quick & don't miss out on yours!
I've used Whisper White Notecards & Envelopes for the base with a layer of Night of Navy & a layer of Watercolor Cardstock, which I've splashed over with So Saffron using my Aqua Painter. I've also spritzed them with the Gold Wink of Stella Pen.
I've stamped the images in Night of Navy on another piece of Watercolor cardstock, also watercoloured in So Saffron & then fussy cut them out. All except the light bulb image are propped up on Dimensionals.
I've added a nest of Gold Metallic Thread to each before adhering the images & added a couple of gold sequins from the Metallic Sequin Assortment for good luck.
It took me ages (& a couple of sheets of Watercolor cardstock) to finally be happy with the So Saffron watercolouring! I went too heavy at first, but I used those bits for the fussy cutting, so at least not all of it went to waste haha! I got these bits by just getting fed up & splashing it on & then using it, even though I wasn't happy with it. But now I've got all the other elements on top, I think they look ok! So the moral of the story is don't try too hard with the watercolouring lol :P
Here's the Global Design Project colour challenge. I've cased Janneke de Jong's card.
UPDATE! I was a winner at the GDP081 Challenge!!
