Money Pocket Wedding Cards

On this lovely, hot day (41 degrees outside!!), I have decided to make some wedding cards with some money pockets in them - as a friend pointed out, it's crap when the cash falls out. So here are a couple of lovely creations for you, even if I do say so myself haha!

I was going to use these for the BLOG HOP coming up on Sunday (check back in at 6pm to get involved in the fun!) but I used the Rose Garden dies to make a wedding card for it last month! So come back on Sunday to see what else I can come up with haha!!

For all three cards, I have used the Timeless Elegance Designer Series Paper (DSP) & the Timeless Elegance Cardstock Pack (Basic Black, Sahara Sand & Very Vanilla). I have also used the Rose Wonder Bundle which comes with the Rose Wonder Stamp Set & Rose Garden Thinlits Dies. The two inks I have used are Basic Black & Sahara Sand.

I have used Glue dots to stick the Rose die cuts onto the cards. Previously I was using a Fine-Tip glue pen for this which took forever & was a bit messy. The glue dots are certainly a lot easier & quicker. I put a glue dot at the tip of each leaf & the base of the leaves & then one in the center of the rose & another two or three around the outside. The cardstock is quite thick, so the rose holds its shape really well. I used the tip of my scissors to pull the glue dot back in on itself where it was too wide, so that it didn't show when I stuck it down. The glue dots are super sticky!

For the money pocket, I have used a simple triangle, snail glued down on two sides & then glued the piece of printed paper over the top, making sure to seal all the sides of the paper so it's not confusing where to stick the money. As the cardstock is so strong, the pocket is quite tight, so the money will stay in & you can have just a little of it poking up so the recipient knows it's there.

For this last card, I have daubled Sahara Sand ink under the rose to make it pop from the card, as it is the same colour.

And so here are three really elegant cards made with only a handful of products! Here is the list of goodies I have used:
