I was going to try & do all of the challenges I have listed on my Challenges page on my blog (see the tabs at the top), but I wasn't inspired by a couple of them last night when I was trying to decide which one to do next. But when I saw this one, I loved it & thought I could have a bit of fun with it!
Here's this week's Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge #298
And here's my entry, I decided to simplify it a little:
I also decided to do two other versions of the card. I decided not to put a sentiment on the front because they are so pretty just on their own. And no rhinestones! I better go & take my temperature...
All the paper I've used is from the Pretty Petals DSP, on a Whisper White card stock base. I probably should have used Very Vanilla but my order is in the mail & creativity cannot wait!
The big hearts have been cut out with the Sweetheart Punch & are backed on Old Olive card stock, which matches the Pretty Petals DSP colour range. I have propped the big hearts up on Dimensionals. The little hearts were cut out with the Itty Bitty Accent Punches Heart Punch & are backed with Basic Black card stock. I used Glue Dots for the little hearts, which were perfect for such small, fiddly work & add just the smallest bit of height so they're up but not as high as the big hearts. I've used a ruler to line the three little hearts up.
I love them! I get so happy when I make a card I love!! Yay!!
I think these cards are really sweet & simple. I have a couple of engagements & weddings coming up, so I think I might just keep some of these aside... I made two of each, so you can still get them in my eBay shop if you like them.
